Brooklands Race Meetings
Race meetings have been scheduled for July, August and October 2002 at the recently refurbished Brooklands Circuit (formerly known as KMR). The dates are: 28th July, 18th August and 20th October (trophy meeting). There will be 5 min qualifying races and finals plus practice intervals to allow for testing etc. Although the meetings are advertised for 1/10 scale saloons (Stock 27T & Modified) entries are also welcome for additional electric race classes ie F1, Pro10 and motorcycles. Entry forms (including more info) are available on-line: entry form  (F1/Pro10/Motorcyle entrants should contact the organisers prior to the event).

The refurbished circuit now offers an extended lap length, a very smooth tarmac surface, covered pits (with pit benches) and a new drivers rostrum.
The Brooklands photo gallery is available to give an idea of what to expect.
For those drivers unfamiliar with the largest UK circuits, the high speed nature of the circuit will reward precise and careful driving. A very fast car (fitted with a big pinion) plus good batteries are the essential requirements.
Low ride heights will also be needed to improve high speed cornering.
