| Club Championship Round 8 (A1)
A prolonged shower mid meeting made for upsets in the final placings. But before and after the rain some glorious sunshine was welcomed by the racers. Still not enough to allow the use of 'normal' tyres 20's either slick or treaded were the best in the damp conditions. Once again some new faces were seen and despite the rain shower (after which the track was soon once again in a raceable condition) smiles were plentiful as those who stayed on after the rain enjoyed some close racing on the fast flowing A1 club circuit. Dominic Skinner took FTQ in Stock 27T class with 16/301.88 very close to the track record on his first visit to the club. Adam Hampton to FTQ in Modified class with 17/311.53 after Clive Stockham made an unforced error to throw away his chance of pole for the finals. Philip Thurlby was the top qualifier in the 15T Control class with 16/308.72. The finals took place on a drying track with Dominic Skinner winning the 27T A final overall from Darren Tickner. Clive Stockham won Modified/15T from Philip Thurlby. The final results of the Club Championship are:
